La Florencia is divided into two estancias, the eastern and western parts. Together they cover an area of about 90,000 hectares in which we find forest environments, wetlands, sandy areas, among others. It is worth mentioning the confirmed presence of the yaguarete, the yurumi or anteater, the collared peccary and many other species of animals and plants. It is a key territory for the survival of the yaguarete (there are between 200 and 250 left in the wild and only 20 in the Gran Chaco of Argentina). It stands out for its proximity to the Impenetrable National Park, acting as a biological corridor between it and the province of Salta.
